Dr. Kaplan received the Outstanding Psychiatrist for Public Sector from the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society in 2017

Dr. Kaplan was awarded a $1.1 million research grant from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Rehabilitation Research & Development Service (2015-2019)

Dr. Kaplan was reappointed to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Clinical Pharmacology for 2017-18

Dr. Kaplan served as a reviewer for 15 Neuroscience and Pharmacology and Psychiatry journals in the past 3 years

Dr. Kaplan was invited to be a Scientific Reviewer for VA Rehabilitation Research & Development Service on the Stroke and TBI Section (RRD1) in 2017
